PetHive exists so pet families can share, learn, and meet — kindly. These guidelines apply to everything on the platform: posts, stories, comments, profiles, pet profiles, communities, events, and group content. By using PetHive you agree to follow them (see our Terms of Service).
1. Not allowed on PetHive
- Child endangerment of any kind. Zero tolerance — see our Child Safety Standards. Violations mean permanent removal and referral to authorities.
- Animal cruelty: content depicting, promoting, or glorifying abuse, neglect, staged animal fights, or illegal wildlife trade. Educational or rescue content documenting cruelty to help an animal is allowed with appropriate context.
- Harassment and bullying: targeted abuse, threats, degrading language, or encouraging others to pile on.
- Hate: attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, religion, caste, nationality, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or similar characteristics.
- Violence and dangerous acts: threats, incitement, or glorification of violence.
- Sexual content: nudity and sexually explicit material. PetHive is a family space.
- Illegal activity: including the sale of prohibited animals or animal products, prescription-only veterinary drugs, or any unlawful goods and services.
- Misinformation that risks harm: for example dangerous fake "cures" for pets or content designed to defraud users.
- Spam and inauthentic behavior: fake accounts, engagement manipulation, scraping, and repetitive unsolicited promotion.
- Privacy violations: sharing someone's private information or intimate imagery without consent.
- Impersonation of people, rescues, breeders, brands, or PetHive itself.
2. Reporting and enforcement
- Report any profile, post, story, comment, or chat from its ⋯ menu, and block any user, directly in the app.
- Reports go to our moderation team. We review reported user content and act on objectionable content within 24 hours — by removing content, restricting or suspending accounts, or permanently banning repeat or severe offenders. Users who post objectionable content are ejected from the platform.
- Account suspensions and bans take effect across the service, including chats, calls, communities, and events.
- You can also reach us at info@zgcns.com (subject "Content Report") — no account needed.
3. Decisions, notifications, and appeals
When we action your content or account, we notify you of the decision and the rule it was based on. When you report content, we inform you of the outcome of your report. If you believe we got a decision wrong — as the affected user or as the reporter — contact info@zgcns.com (subject "Moderation Appeal") from the email registered to your account. Appeals are reviewed by a person not involved in the original decision, and we reply with the outcome.
4. A note on encrypted chats
Private chats are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read them proactively. If someone sends you abusive content in a chat, use Report in that conversation — reporting shares the specific reported messages with our moderators so we can act — and Block the sender.
5. Be a good neighbor
- Credit creators when resharing; only post content you have the right to share (see copyright in our Terms).
- Keep advice kind; for health emergencies, always point people to a veterinarian.
- Organize events responsibly and follow local rules on animals in public spaces.
